To rephrase : If you are a developer you want me, the user, to use your software instead of some other. So where exactly does my "obligation" enter to help you improve your software?
This is not about glitches and giving feedback, something I have a done a lot. It's about the seeming attitude of "love-it-or-leave-it" that expects the user to contribute beyond the usages the software was intended to perform. I can do that too, but will you then give me a share in the decision-making of the project? Or do I now have to earn this "privilege"?
