About a month ago I received a Raspberry PI as a present. I've poked around in the Internet to see is it usable entirely with free software. I've came across an effort t reverse engineering of the GPU. I've wrote to the FSF about my finding. I've just received an answer from the FSF that Broadcom had released full documentation for the VideoCore IV graphics core, and a complete source release of the graphics stack under a 3-clause BSD license.

That is an answer worth waiting one moth! It seems the Rasbpbery PI will run freely soon.
