There actually is a form to request the IRS go back, look at the classification of every other F/LOSS connected group, and re-evaluate their non-profit classification. It would have to be filed against each group individually but the form is Form 13909 and the form for reporting tax issues in general is Form 3949-A. The logic spelled out in that ruling makes me wonder what, if anything, would qualify for 501(c)(3) these days.
