@gabrielsaldana I had the same experience. If one is new to emacs, the story might be different.
-
@skreech2 An idea: It's one following culprits: Nepomuk or Akonadi. But take this with a grain of salt, I use neither.

@ungethym Using 4.9.1 over here.

Just discovered today that text in the clipboard can be shared with my phone using QR codes: klipper->Show Barcode. Mind blown!
-
Uhh, I didn't know about nag and microtype. Will read on them later today, especially nag.
-
Thank you! I shall follow your advice

Guess this means it's time for me to read on using signed packages. Is this the right wiki article? http://bit.ly/zHd5nD

Am I imagining things, or did the http://planetkde.org layout just change? The half of my brain that thinks it's new likes it better. !kde

@kete So I ended up with 2 FF profiles. I worked, but it's a mess anyways. I'll just run emacs without window borders http://bit.ly/yAysg0
-
@kete I fixed all that for FF with userChrome.css (FF UI) and userContent.css (web content). But it broke some sites layout (i.e. reddit)
-
The dark theme results in too many workarounds (FF etc.) Going back to a light !kde theme, but stick to solararized in konsole and emacs.
-
@pierres Using Arch since late 2007 and am happy with it ever since. Seen your name all over the place, hence a big thanks for your work :D
-
I fixed my FF issue by adding a chrome/userContent.css file to my FF profile as described here http://bit.ly/zuN5ek (we're not related ^^)
-
@rajitsingh In FF the text in chat textboxes on twitch.tv are light gray on white, unreadable. Using chromium instead works though.
-
@rajitsingh Nice desktop. I got it working after re-running the customization script and re-selecting kawoken ^^ http://bit.ly/AfMqkH

@bulldog98 hmmm, I'll give a try next time I have to open a ppt or doc file then. Thanks for the hint.
-
I didn't mention caligra, because i ran out of characters :P. I'm happy with emacs' org-mode and libreoffice once in a while

@kete If I start using some library/program I know I'll depend on, then I always make sure to have a package that builds from trunk/master.
