@andermetalsh KDevelop is nice with fancy autocompletion, highlighting etc. Not as lightweight as Kate/KWrite, though. And still no WYSIWYG.

A bit of tweaking MySQL goes a long way, !akonadi is now much more responsive (using external mysql server) !kde
