The “Cryptographic Autonomy License” saga took over a year. Admittedly I signed off license-discuss because the matter was going nowhere about a month after the same matter prompted Bruce Perens to resign from OSI. The license-discuss list is now talking about how to draft general software licenses that prevent people like Eric S. Raymond, Bruce Perens, human rights violators generally, and other people they don’t like from being able to use their software.

Seriously? This is discouraging. I didn't have time to participate in either license-review or license-discuss, and I don't know whether it would have made any difference if I had, but it's very bad if those lists are being used to advocate that the OSI attach its name to non-free licenses :-(.
