Dear pumpiverse, are there any projects or work under way to combine pump.io (or perhaps something like it) with gitorious, kallithea, etc. to create a federated, GitHub style approach to development?

Sure they can! But it would be really neat to tie federated messaging to git for at least pull requests.

Email's federated: Lots of different email servers talk to each other every day and news one can be added by anyone at the drop of at hat. Or there's BitMessage. Or...
