I kind of agree! I was just talking about this with Guix developers this morning, they mentioned that they're excited about the idea of an installer that installs for you, but would think it would be good if it could guide users towards becoming coders. I agree, and cited my favorite example of this: Blender.

What I really like about Blender is that it's geared for 3d artists, most of which are not programmers, but many Blender users become coders. If you hover over a Blender UI element, it shows you its python equivalent in the hovertext. When you execute commands, their Python code appears in a log that you can copy and paste from, allowing users to experiment with building up their own functions. As such, many Blender artists do not start out as developers, but learn to become so over time.

It's a bit more challenging of a direction possibly to go for, but it would be cool if we could go there.
