That middle part is called "the plateau of despair" and where you need a constant cycle of interesting things to talk about. And you'll still be frustrated during it. Fundraising sucks, and empathy to all who endure that painful cycle! :) Hardest months of my life were spent campaigning...

@JanKusanagi Yes, I think there's a lot of psychological factors involved in fundraising.

(Not the least of which is keeping psychologically sane if you're the person doing the fundraising... :))
