
So the new GitHub Terms of Service might be giving up your rights. Joey Hess on removing all repos from GitHub.
Nobody seems 100% sure I've talked to? It seems worrying. At least one person seems to read it as moral rights only, but I dunno.

The real question for me is, which service should I switch to? GitLab? Bitbucket? I mainly use GitHub because of the network effect, so the popularity of the replacement would be a factor.

Moral rights? That's the part of the copyright you usually cannot give up, in the countries that have them.
Anyway, github is becoming a historical parenthesis. Use git-ssb and mirror on some public gitlab/gitea instance.
