It's pretty messed up that dogmatic organizations can walk around with seemingly legitimate names for people to cite to lawmakers. There's a very real and very chilling sense of cause-and-effect here.

The "American College of Pediatricians" is a hate group with fewer than 200 members

The ACP is a homophobic group that uses its deceptive name to tell lawmakers that trans kids have a mental disorder that's just a phase that'll go away with time, and that the high suicide rate among trans people is caused by surgical procedures rather than discrimination.
