I have an horror story : with a friend that I wanted to help discover GNU-Linux on a USB stick, that has came back further to W$, just because UEFI broke her system boot when trying to launch the Live USB-stick Linux Mint Debian ... It cost her a repair day, full format and system reinstallation at a local W$ shop (I could not do it!), just because the Windows 8 system together with the UEFI boot didn't wanted to work together after the plugin of the USB-Stick (that did nothing to the system) - we only had to change one parameter locking the UEFI to try Mint (that worked out of the box) but going back was impossible.... and the computer is now locked out for linux ... :/
(now I hope the W10 horror stories will be strong enough...;) )
