tl; dr:
VoIP is nothing new and everyone knows Skype. BUT it is hard to use and doesn't work too well. So we invented this IP-based telephony.......
They just never stop to surprise me in so many, new and unpleasent ways time and time again... Way to go #DTAG!

Is there a !group function in pump.io like the old status.net used to offer? Or is following @<username> still the only way to populate one's feed these days?
I've heard groups exist and there's some functionality for them in some clients (not using !, though) but not really something usable yet.
