Ok so came across this campaign in my morning headlines:

The article about made it sound like #NameCheap and the @Electronic Frontier Foundation were working together on this.. Yet I can find no mention of it on the EFF site. So Look like #NameCheap is just planning to donate to the @Electronic Frontier Foundation (up to $25,000) and get the appropriate tax write off.

Can't get to the page via Tor (Cloudflare) which tell me right away that #NameCheap doesn't give a #$%* about my privacy. And they require valid e-mail addresses. But they, and their partners promise to be good with them. (yeah suuuuuure)

To me this all look like:

An attempt to create buzz for #NameCheap
An sleazy way to co-opt the EFF's good reputation
An e-mail address harvesting campaign
All marketing and no intent to follow through and make ISP or social media sites follow this "bill of rights"
A pretty sleazy thing to do

Could just be me.. Haven't had my morning coffee yet.. That's why I'm calling for more eyes on the thing.

Dont get me wrong.. I'd love to see the @Electronic Frontier Foundation get $25,000 I just don't see any plan by #NameCheap for follow through.
