The version from Sid repos works OK on my up-to-date Sid machine.

Investigating now...

You could run it with --debug to see what the last lines before the segfault are.

It might be the case that your qca-openssl plugin has been removed, but it's probably set as a hard dependency of the package, so it shouldn't be possible...

EDIT: confirmed, libqca2-plugin-ossl is a hard dependency, so it must be something else.

You could, also, try running it with "--config somename" to use a different configuration, and see it that makes it work (with a blank config).
