I got stuck in an elevator for the first time in my life. I'm staying at a Hilton hotel in Philadelphia, on the 11th floor. The fire alarm goes off a little after 1am. I leave the building and I'm given the okay to re-enter about 30 minutes later. The elevators are busy with people going back in. I get into car #1 on the far end and it stops on various floors. A couple gets off on floor #10 and the elevator continues on. Then it shakes a bit and stops. I tried to press the button to return the 10th floor but nothing happened. I tried using the emergency phone in the elevator but all it does it play a recording saying "car number one emergency phone" a few times and then hangs up. I tried to press the alarm button but it didn't do anything. Tried calling the front desk and waited on hold for 25 minutes. I eventually called the fire department. Now it's 2:43am and I'm going back to bed.
