Reject some code contributions (perfectly fine -- after all, open source means people can fork the whole project if they really want to), then feel grumpy about it and... delete your upstream entirely??  Wuh?

I mean, freeze your copy, sure -- if you don't want to maintain, you're not obligated to maintain.  But why take extra steps to make life harder for those who might want to fork and continue the project?  That's such an odd move.  @fafhrd91, am I missing something here?
