I almost rewrote 'mlmatch' (https://github.com/OpenTechStrategies/ots-tools/blob/master/mlmatch -- matches multiline search strings) and then I remembered I'd written it already.
So I guess a useful thing to do would be to tweet about it, so if I ever go looking for it again I stand a chance of finding it? Right?
the other time you mentioned it, I *almost* brought up Linux-libre's deblob-check. it contains scripts in various scripting languages that match multi-line regular expressions. maybe you could use that next time you need it ;-)
