A delightful back corner of English: verbs that are almost always used
with only one noun. Can you "suborn" anything other than perjury?
Could you suborn a revolution? A doctor's appointment? A pecan pie?

it gets even more interesting once you know that in Portuguese the verb "subornar" ('ar' being a common verb termination) means to bribe :-)
