The IPA people on Wikipedia are out of control and need to be stopped. It's getting to where no article on human language can be deciphered anymore and there's barely any page left on the whole site that doesn't include the word "fricative" somewhere in the first two sentences. ❌, ❌, Stephen Michael Kellat likes this.

"... that doesn't include the word 'fricative' somewhere in the two first sentences" :-D ❌ at 2017-05-16T04:02:29Z When people in the US study foreign languages, they don't learn the International Phonetic Alphabet? ❌ at 2017-05-16T04:05:16Z Come to think of it, even the official Swedish dictionary uses parts of IPA, because Swedish spelling is messed up and non-phonetic. English spelling is far worse. :-) ❌ at 2017-05-16T04:09:39Z
