Hello, haven't posted here in years. I'm still alive! I wish this service supported diaspora and other more open social networks, ie. cross-posting service.

The last time I was on here, it's been a long time. I wish there was hashtag support, which never materialised, plus there isn't an accessible public timeline/stream without having to probably link other services. Same for posting to other social networks, ie. diaspora. If those were active, I could post here have it go elsewhere too.

Long time since the last time I used identica. isn't the same as the original statusnet at all. I wish it was back to that platform, or was like friendica, where it was linked to as many social networks, blogging sites, etc. Besides that, I've been okay, using diaspora allot, been through two machines (my longest one lost it's mobo), the last one had major issues and this one I have is allot better, but alas restricted to only pentium 4, celeron and pentium D dual-core processors, due to it having code in the BIOS that blacklists pure pentium dual core, core 2 duo/quad processors. It runs nicely with linux, same with windows 6.2. It currently has a 3.2ghz pentium 4, but I'm going to get a 3.4 Ghz pentium D dual core for it and more RAM, limit seems to be 4GB, or maybe 5. Haven't been able to test it with anymore since ddr2 is becoming hard to find. Laters. :)

Just wanted to make an #announcement that #keystothestudio #ktts jam sessions have resumed for Tuesdays from 6-8 in the evening. Fridays is more of a private thing, even though i'll also mention that, it'll be from 6-8pm too. We are at 220 Cowan Ave (google map it), Toronto, just off Queen St. West, between lansdowne and brock street. #jamsessions #jam #sessions #music

Just thought I would be tied to a computer for a day. Yes, it's how I used to be. Sitting here, surfing thr web occasionally and checking up on e-mail every so often. Giving the blackberries a break, one doesn't work with BIS or push anymore since switching to the Q10. Not worried, at least WAP/Cellular data works on it. Web, ubersocial, streaming radio works fine. Anything requiring BIS doesn't, including official applications like Twitter and Facebook, oh and e-mail services, BlackBerry World (unless via wifi). It gives me a chance to relive it and it feels good. Right now, I have 80 e-mails waiting for me. :D

Wanted to share this: a great whistleblower finally spoke up!

If your carrier offered data at 25/10 (in megabits) speeds, how much data would you likely burn through in a day, week or month? For me, I would probably end up going over 6GB in a week if I didn't care to monitor it at all. PS. I sure miss twitter integration and #hashtags.

I have 10 mbit/s both ways. My router's data show that, during the whole October, I downloaded 86 GB and uploaded 83 (most of it probably BitTorrent).

Nope, the issue with logging in isn't mentioned on github anywhere. All I get is an error occurred when logging in from google chrome and my blackberry's webkit browser. Disappointing.

Maybe you should submit a new issue?

    /usr/share at 2013-11-05T06:03:37Z

P.S. I log in with chromium just fine. (Maybe you're entering your pwd wrong? Because doesn't say "wrong password", but "an error occurred" in this case.)

    /usr/share at 2013-11-05T06:43:46Z

I did enter my password correctly 20 times, even pasted it into the form from gedit and leafpad, same thing. :/

It seems I cannot login to with either my blackberry's webkit browser, or google chromium/chrome. Why is that? Is it some glitch? Hmm, maybe I should check github to see if there's already an issue...

Logged on identica for the longest time since almost half a year. Has it really been that long? Still no public timeline OR hashtags. #thissucks

Firehose can be called a public timeline.

you need to follow some people ... and yes, using a client might be a good idea for now ... I made a little howto blog post

Also CC'd to diaspora: Just so you all know, I have recreated my dailymotion after my long-standing account got permanently deactivated. An appeal was ignored too. So here is the new account, share it if you want. It seems my freedom of speech, thought, choice, expression and right to opinion was knocked out by either #scientology or mewen/mewie/mew amanda brown, a known troll who is stalkingly obsessed with the people she tried to manipulate, caused to lose jobs or get put in prison, or drove into complete silence, **if they try to expose her trolling and cyberbullying**.

I didn't know #ubuntu 13.04 was plagued with bugs, glitches and kernel panics. I guess I need to make the switch to Mint 15. Never have I EVER encountered THAT MANY ISSUES on a Feature release since 8.10. Bluetooth causing the graphics to lock up, wifi causing the kernel to panic, PLUGGING IN A USB MOUSE freezing the entire system AND using "sudo su" FROZE UP XORG?!?! Okay, well, I'm switching. And yes, I have ALL UPDATES installed too, just so you know. MINT will be installed soon. Also: NEVER EVER install wicd, it causes so many issues on 13.04.

    CC'd to diaspora.

Can't post pictures from my blackberry. I'll do further testing from firefox once my system is done being upgraded to ubuntu 13.04.

Ever since #identica moved to, the features I used allot went missing, such as public timeline/stream, groups, ability to delete noticed posted by accident (duplicates included), elimination of 140 characters which won't tie nicely with twitter, no twitter/diaspora/facebook/friendika/ (you get what I'm saying) cross-posting either. I hope it all gets brought back soon. I miss sharing people's notices to get them outside of the network they're on too. Can this be sent to evan? I'm sure more are suggesting that too. #features #missing #muchdemand #highdemand #populardemand #twitter #diaspora #crossposting #google+ #friendika #facebook also posted to diaspora.
Bugs, enhancement requests go here - - although you really are incredibly naive if you really believe Evan isn't aware of all of these functional gaps between and Pump. The lack of groups, hashtaps and bridges are all existing issues. As for why he didn't implement them all before the migration, well you'll have to ask him but I suspect it would have delayed the migration by 12 months and he couldn't wait 12 months.

Testing the use of old school group postings. !identica should appear as a hashtag or something.

I have a #question why has #groups, ability to #delete (duplicate/accidental) 'dents, #public timeline and a few other things just... Vanished? I remember they were on the statusnet version of, but why have they gone missing on Also, there is this #bug that notices/dents don't even get posted and the "send" button just sits there indefinitely. Just curious. But I like the fact that it posts to diaspora. :)
Probably it wasn't yet implemented. Hopefully we'll get these features back in a few months.
