Probably nothing; in the comments section Shuttleworth (or someone claiming to be him) stated that Canonical had already given permission to hundreds of derivatives to use "Ubuntu" in their respins; I would hazard that Trisquel is one of them.
However, I would assume that the authorisation comes with strings attached, like they can't become commercial without getting a new authorisation; and as Matthew pointed out, derivatives of Ubuntu respins also would have to get Canonical's permission.
@samwwwblack@identi.ca #Trisquel does not use any Ubuntu references other then being based on Ubuntu. They remove all Ubuntu references and logos. I was more worried about the "Otherwise you must remove and replace the Trademarks and will need to recompile the source code to create your own binaries " that could mean a lot more work for #Trisquel as I believe (perhaps incorrectly) that they currently only recompile packages they modify.
