@ddevine used MariaDB or Percona before? Now that I'm stuck with Oracle without the paid add-ons, ironically FLOSS DBs have more features

@ddevine I normally keep my options open by using abstraction layers such as the excellent SQLAlchemy. Too many nice DBs out there
