OpenERP... doesn't hash passwords?!

I'm going through a PostgreSQL dump of our OpenERP database to manually reset a password for an administrative user... and all the user passwords are sitting there in plain text in the PostgreSQL dump file...
What on earth kind of application at this level doesn't hash passwords at all??

Ah, you're right, I guess as of Sept it's auto-installed (and I think that means auto-enabled in an Odoo context). The version I'm running isn't that recent...
So, downgrade my shock from brain-turned-inside-out to simply horrified...
