Rant

I'm getting sick and tired of finding interesting podcasts that are only available to subscribe to on iTunes or Stitcher or whatever other fucking middle man that wants to sell your ears to ads.

OT: should I stop writing "premium video"? I get a kick out of its use in rationalizing EME, but I guess nobody else is laughing, mostly for not getting the reference. But of course I mostly write for my own enjoyment. Maybe that is an answer.

Can you provide any examples?  It's almost always possible to track down a bare RSS feed somewhere.

You can't really call something a podcast otherwise.

You remember where the word Podcast comes from, right?

"The word is a neologism and portmanteau derived from "broadcast" and "pod" from the success of the iPod, as audio podcasts are often listened to on portable media players." - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Podcast

And I know about working around stupid feeds, but the only places the audio for this particular podcast is hosted is on either iTunes or Sticher. If you have figured out how to get a real RSS feed of the audio files from either of those, let me know.
