Okay, grammar heads, I've got one for you:

In the sentence "The governor is the one who we expect will make this decision.", should that be "who" or "whom"?

(And don't start with me about my including the period inside the double quotes -- that's not the question here, please.)

AFAICT "we expect" has as its object "the governor is the one who will make this decision"

"who" is the subject for "will make", not object, so it's "who", not "whom"
