Git-Android weekend

Laura Arjona Reina at

My #freesoftware plan for the weekend:

  1. Setup gitweb (or whatever) in my server

  2. Host a mirror of each Android app that I translate or plan to translate.

  3. Begin to send contributions pointing to my hosted branches instead of github/googlecode merge requests ('social' experiment').

@larjona@identi.ca I use cgit rather than gitweb. Tiny bit lighter weight, and I trust the auditing. It's used on kernel.org and others.

No success so far. Tried cgit, I have nginx and couldn't make it work (with FastCGI).

I hope I find time this week to figure out what I am doing wrong.

Meanwhile, today I contributed some Spanish strings to Kontalk fir Android, in order to get it 100% translated… via Transifex :/

And I joined the Spanish translation team for Owncloud, also in Transifex…

It seems Transifex is the Github of translators. Not sure how to deal with that. Here is not so easy as sending patches by mail…

@larjona@identi.ca Why not go with GitLab and have issue tracking and a nice UI as a bonus feature?
