Testing if "posting a note" this is the new style of "tweeting" (never read manuals).

Pump.io allows long posts too, HTML or Markdown formatting (depending on the client), mentions (some clients) and posting images. So it's much more flexible than Twitter :)

Some limitations (temporary, I hope): support of hashtags is not implemented yet, and "sharing" a post only shares to your followers (even if the post was public).

If you want your notes to be automatically posted in your Twitter profile, you can register in pump2tweet.com and link your Twitter account there (long posts will be shortened).

Nice to see you posting in the Pump network!

Thanks Laura. Does that mean that I don't get to spam the public list? - no, sorry, do I get it right: I can only share other peoples posts with my followers? But if I have something I want to say to "the World", my posts will go to the public stream?
So is this chat public now, since I started the post publicly?

Yes, usually replies to a public post, are also public.

Also, not to spam you (since this next link is partially mine), but these tips might help http://communicationfreedom.wordpress.com/2014/03/17/pump-io-tips/
