Accepted into the Stripe Open Source Retreat 2016

Proper blogpost coming up later today, but in the meanwhile, you can read Stripe's announcement: Open Source Retreat 2016 grantees. And guess who's in it?

That's right, Stripe's going to pay me to focus on MediaGoblin for the first few months of 2016, and are generously giving me office space to complete the work... no strings attached! This also means I'll be living in San Francisco for the first few months of 2016!

One of the things that appealed to Stripe greatly was our work on ActivityPump.

The aim is to get MediaGoblin 1.0 out the door by the end of the retreat (while simultaneously advancing general federation standards work). We can do it! And thank you Stripe for the generous opportunity!

How awesome is that! We're so happy for you, and for us!

Wow, that's nuts. We use Stripe for our payment processor at work - I had no idea that they had such interest in federated technologies!
