The migration is still ongoing. Found some last-minute problem and so we'll be fixing a few things and re-testing before we bring back the site. ETA: now += 24 hours.2019-02-18T06:38:34Z via Identi.ca Web To: Public CC: Followers
The main Libravatar service is migrating to a new server/codebase. We'll be down for a bit, but the image-serving part of the service shouldn't be affected.McClane likes this.

I know, but still =)
Hi François, we met in Dunedin when you were still working on Persona. I think a decentralized replacement for Gravatar is a great idea, and I'm wondering if Libravatar could be continued in some form by the emerging ActivityPub fediverse? You mentioned in your swansong piece that running a node is a fairly trivial add-on to a webserver. Maybe one of the fediverse server apps could be convinced to bake it in, and maybe eventually it could be formalized as an extension of ActivityPub?2017-06-02T05:45:42Z via Identi.ca Web To: Public CC: Followers
