Oh did I mention that I'm most likely the one and only to get FttH installed before the new government scrap the idea and settle for FttN because they love dial up internet!
I wish NBN Co listed all of the contracts that have been signed so we could know if we are the lucky or the shafted ones. My exchange was due for roll-out within 3 years which probably means we are in the shafted column.

I heard someone from abbot's side banging on about the Australian budget deficit on the BBC world service this morning. It's tiny relative to gdp compared to the uk's, and our budget deficit isn't a real problem in any case.
A reasonable deficit isn't a problem unless you have borrowed a lot of money in a currency you have no control over (like the Euro...).
