@gislikarl in fact, they will only redirect elsewhere (e.g. libravatar.org or gravatar.com) if you tell them to. your domain = your control

@gislikarl if you expose an SRV record in your DNS zone, clients that honor federation will talk to your instance first

@klaus It always uses r=g in redirects because libravatar.org only hosts g-rated images and therefore doesn't implement the rating parameter
