I think, if you were a developer and you'd have to deal with him this is really no fun. But in my opinion it's important to have such contrary characters like R. Stallman (in a different way) or L. Torvalds. This give people a lot of matter to bat around. Maybe this let's pop up new ideas.
Let's put it this way: If it were not for him, I would have missed a lot of interesting Linux related threads, cause the usual suspects didn't care to write about it. And yep, he makes me chuckle now and then.
But this is no reason to take him as an example - for definitely no one. Zack's comment proves, even in FOSS circles there are the same fools, like everywhere else, who can't reflect. That's humans. ;)
