The copyleft-next project (copyleftnext)
-
Good news, everyone! #copyleft-next 0.3.0 has been released! http://identi.ca/url/75854430
-
@luissoeiro !fsf not interested in revising #GPL at this time, nor do I think they would approve of most of these changes (for GPL).
-
@luissoeiro Hard to say without seeing original details of court decision.
-
@arnebab The pwnage problem is mainly taken care of by copyleft/proprietary dual-licensing nullification.
-
@luissoeiro @zack btw soon we will solve the general license compat problem. The seas will thereafter turn into lemonade.
-
@luissoeiro !GPLv3 anti-lockdown provisions have no current counterpart in #copyleft-next. Code is outbound GPLv3-compatible
-
@luissoeiro 15 years of copyleft seems long enough. This is probably not a license that 'copyright extremists' would like.
-
@luissoeiro !GPL is more complex than necessary & some have pwned it, contributing to more noncopyleft shift than one would otherwise expect
-
@evan so essentially the forward slash / is confusing?
-
@evan hard to parse you mean? Your suggestion changes the intended meaning (though is if anything more descriptive)
-
Good news, everyone! #copyleft-next 0.2.1 has been released! http://identi.ca/url/75445262
-
Good news, everyone: copyleft-next 0.2.0 has now been released! http://identi.ca/url/75256873 #copyleft-next

First project released under #copyleft-next : DATAxDATA by @warp !
-
@mlinksva good point, perhaps; not entirely sure it's the same category of usage of 0.
-
@mlinksva Yes. In #copyleft-next we count from 1, not 0.
-
Hear ye, hear ye! #copyleft-next 0.1.0 has been released. Patches welcome!
-
#copyleft-next a bit longer than 4 months ago, but still shorter than #Apache License 2.0. Probably now at optimal length.
