Today marks the birth of Grace Hopper. Born December 9, 1906, her contributions to computers are numerous and significant. She implemented the first compiler and the term "debugging" when she removed a moth from a computer. Her work paved the way for many of the advancements in computer technology that we rely on today. She will forever be remembered as a trailblazer in the field of computer science. The ACM's Grace Murray Hopper Award is given in her honor.
