@speeddefrost My observation is that Pump.io development stopped before the platform became good enough :-( It's a pity that so many former users of identi.ca are left with a broken service... An instructive example for other "revolutionaries".

Regarding the "comment to my comment":
>> AndStatus Project:
“@jankusanagi@identi.ca BTW Do _you_ see this my reply to your reply? :-) I didn't risk and sent other replies to You technically replying to myself and changing @ manually :-(”
I see it in the Meanwhile feed. I choose to reply to your original post anyway. Replying to replies, instead of the original post is _possible_ in pump.io, but I don't recommend it. Not all clients show threaded replies. The @someone@someserver in the message is irrelevant. You can remove it completely from the message. Btw, @MyNiceDisplayName would be nicer than @myaddress@myserver, in Pump.io ;)
I'd recommend you take a look at Pump.io without the "Microblogging context" sometime. Just so you understand how it really works. Try some of the other clients, specially the ones that are available for PC.

It looks much better with line breaks, thanks ;)
I guess that means that your users have to be careful not to use the < and > characters, since you're not converting those to HTML entities either...
>> AndStatus Project:
“Regarding @MyNiceDisplayName - is it documented anywhere? I'm not very comfortable changing API based on "comments" :-)”
No, it's "documented" in observation. Just look at any client (including the web UI), and you'll see that the posts by "JohnDoe" have "JohnDoe" written somewhere, not "johnnydabest@johnserver.org" =)Anywhere you look, you are "AndStatus Project", not "andstatus@identi.ca". The address is more like... "a detail", not something that's usually seen.
Also, this has nothing to do with any API. Adding @someaddress@someserver as part of the message is irrelevant. What matters is the metadata, the To and CC fields, not what names are in the message.

Regarding linebreaks: yes, v.10 of AndStatus allows adding newline characters into the message. I will think about auto converting messages to HTML at the client.
BTW in this comment I manually added HTML br...AndStatus@Identi.ca likes this.

it would be cool if Puma or Impeller had a "crosspost to SN" checkbox/option :-)

could it be done via multiple accounts in same app/service cases and some sort of share via the android api for different app/service cases?
macno: brdcst.it works great, except I want to use pump.io as the master and go to other networks from it. Is this possible?
Also, when going from SN->pump (or whatever else), @-replies seem to be sent, which is not desired behavior. or that's what happened last time I tried, it's been a while.
