HAL-oween!

My boy's first Halloween costume, and first trick-or-treat. Great success!

Manu Sporny's videos, as usual, are a very nice introduction:
Some of this grows out of the needs of the web payments group, which has some of the same people. The credentials specs have not totally solidified, but are getting there, and are growing out of some real implementations that Digital Bazaar are working on.
By the way, the "linked data signatures" bit has a small amount of controversy in "why not JOSE"? It's something I'm in the middle of reading up on and trying to understand.
At the very least, I think the work coming out of the credentials group may be a good path forward for the kind of future we're trying to build in MediaGoblin and related work.

I have eaten alone in many business trips. Before the era of the ubiquitous smart phone, it was a boring affair. Go in, look around bored while waiting for the food, eat in 15 minutes, and then gone. This was the reason I ended up with room service or take out.Matthew Gregg, he1kki, X11R5, lnxwalt@microca.st likes this.

They don't offer public wifi or public internet, just public access to web pages/sites.
Even in the university there are lots of ports blocked by default…
I suppose the (sysadmin/owner) error is assuming that guests only need web access.

modes
Entering extreme low-power mode since the sun is forecast to be unavailable until a week from Wednesday.
This means I am offline 90% of the time and bring up the internet connection occasionally to sync.
Or I may end up reading paper books by lantern light or staring at the fire for hours and just thinking.
Old modes, but good ones.

Mmm I see a link to Changelog in many packages… FDroid itself, Hey! Meditarion, K9, Conversations, Offline Calendar, Xabber…
And there is a link to website and source code in every app…
I think the FDroid friends do all that they can already…
