heyo pumpiverse ... long time not being here!
Diaspora* network is actually well active (specially in the french part where a very visible Pod is hosted by Framasoft.org aka framasphere.org) , and it was taking my attention these lasts months... (even trying to launch a pod here) ... I really like the mood and the people there, but hey, I need to come over here more often... ;)

mmmm .... what a relieve : finally found why my workstation was freezing at random... just, _don't_ try to use "hybrid SLI" with NVidia cards (it's supposed to gather the power of the discreet video card together with the MB embeded one.. ) !!
I don't know why I did enabled that in the BIOS, but it's crap and provoke xid 69 error (aka "hardware error")

win10 user discover multi desktop, I use x2x for years between multiple computers : multi-multidesktop .... combined with xinput for multi mouse pointer/keyboard (yes multiple mouse pointer ... a swarm if you want ;) )... free software IS ergonomic, no doubt ...

I played with some glsl script disceminating a serie of textures on a ground, with elements taken from the painting of Romain Simon (http://simonromain.com) in a VR test scene ... this can go further, but I think I'll take some other way... ;)

result : done - nearly perfect : 1 broken trace to fill and one to cut (design error) - seems perfectly aligned.
personal note : and it’s really my first diy PCB ever ! And it worked at first try, no miss during the transfer or etching. 2 good hour of zen concentration and it’s easy (really) :D
other note : thanks @xuv for the laser printer, used to make a mask for the etching: it can also print circuit finally ;)
publication note : this will probably be published in gpl when finished … with some pure-data patches too.
[edit] and now I'm wondering how to make pcb plates other way ... as this method (industrial pcb chemicaly etched on place) does'nt seems to be the most ecological, economical and sustainable way to produce circuit in the long run : a lot of waste for some small traces ...

A gentleman I know uses a CNC mill to create prototype PCBs.
ha yes ... I thought about that but my CNC is for big dimensions (like meters, not millimeters) and ... I have in mind to or adapt a 3D printer to put a drill instead of extruder, or make another one in plywood ...
but making the plates in the first place is a problem still ... ;)

I had this mentra to remember how not to loose your nerves when working with technical hardware (and software) : "1 - check the cable, 2- check the cable, 3 - check the cable" because so many time "something is wrong" and it's a cable that is or misconnected or misconducting (materialy faulty) ... now I have to add "then check the power supply" ... after spending so many hours checking all (connection and software) with the power supply we tried to drive here for a project in the last and winning check.
And yet, it's often the case too that one or another power supply in your chain is falty or giving strange behaviors...
So true... check the cable, then check the cable again xD

T'as vu l'adresse qu'ils ont mis pour F/LAT sur la page que tu référence? Faut faire qqchose par rapport à ça. Je trouve ça un peu embarrasant.
