There were some problems on Pumpdog.me when I originally posted this.
This split personality thing is doing my head in.
For various reasons, not least because Evan thinks it helps building federated software, I am solely using andyc@pumpdog.me from this day forth. Seems like a logical time to make the break.
Plus, like @dvdmrsdn, I love organic gardening and starting from zero.
So, farewell then to the drug crazed zombie caked in flour with his interminable bytestream in 140 character constrained drivel.

Venus and Mars
[Watching Simon Reeves' excellent documentary about Australia. He is in Melbourne on Australia Day. There is a parade going through the city]
'They are quite backwards really, Australia. I mean - we have really good parades. We have colourful, shiny outfits with glitter. Just think of Euro Disney. We have really good organisation too. I mean - look at that - they just have Girl Guides walking along and random people joining the parade. That wouldn't happen here. Yes - Australia just like we were 30 years ago. More like the Isle of Wight'.
We have visited Australia twice.2013-07-12T10:16:35Z via Identi.ca Web To: Public CC: Followers
Old habits die hard. Still, at least the relationship is thawing as he didn't Block him.
'Dvd Mrsdn stopped following Peter Cannon'The problem with Dave is he likes to slag things off such as the Tories, the royal family and a multitude of other subjects that I hold an opposing view on yet when I make similar comments about unemployment, socialism etc, he throws his nappy against the wall. Shades of "Can give it but cant take it spring to mind." shame really as he's not a bad lad, and most of the time I'm just winding him up like loads of others do to me on a daily basis. Oh well, ho hum.2013-07-12T09:28:33Z via Identi.ca Web To: Public CC: Followers
I am no longer going to worry about the Pump.io business model and whether Evan can afford to feed his children.

Slightly embarassing.
Daughter is going to Wireless festival with 4 friends who are staying over. Thought my daughter was hogging the shower so as soon as she finished I seized my chance and strode purposefully to the bathroom door. To my horror, I met one of her girlfriends wrapped in a towel coming out.

This is not a good time for Pumpdog to lie flat out, dead, barely responsive.
Particularly when Even is lying flat out, dead, barely responsive on Hermosa beach, eating a fat burrito and supping an ice cold beer.2013-07-12T09:09:02Z via Identi.ca Web To: Public CC: Followers

@sdp had problems so this embryonic Pump FAQ (including how to subscribe to a remote user) may be of interest to recent identi.ca converts.

So this is it then. We have waited with baited breath for 5 whole weeks to see @dvdmrsdn decide to embrace Quitter.se (odd timing) and @rpcutts pissing around with bold, italic and BIG writing.
I was expecting moans about the Web interface, questions about remote follow, bug reports, praise for Evan, people saying 'Sorry but this just isn't for me' or a fleeting guest appearance from Marjolein K.
I am disappoint.Jason Riedy likes this.

Met with my surgeon today. Learned the following. I have a stomach hernia but he won't allow surgery until 18 months after the major surgery (May 2012). The reason is that any invasive procedure 'distracts' the body from its normal infection fighting. The body can, in fact, combat and eliminate cancer cells in small doses so this 18 months period post-tumour removal is critical. If you get through that cancer free, you are likely to remain so for a prolonged period. Normal advice - lose weight, move more, eat/drink less.2013-07-11T13:56:33Z via Identi.ca Web To: Public CC: Followers

Or, as I read on a helpful blog - 'Defrag your desk'. This also helps.@andyc interesting idea but depending on the head logic, I'll either get a full desk with bare edges or just the bottom quarter bare
