Document Freedom Day

Gracias a Linux Spain recuerdo que hoy es el Document Freedom Day. Me he puesto a recordar formatos abiertos en mi equipo y hay unos cuantos:
- Documentos en ODF. Algún DOC y DOCX habrá hasta que lo convierta.
- FLAC y OGG (Vorbis) para la música. Por desgracia hay cosas que solo encuentro en MP3.
- Algún vídeo en WebM (VP8) y OGG (Theora). Los MP4 con H264 son la norma.
- EPUB para libros electrónicos. Espero deshacerme de los MOBI y de los propietarios de Kindle en cuanto pueda.
- Muchísimos PNG.
- ¡Texto plano a montones!
Sin olvidarnos de los formatos para la web y los protocolos de comunicación que todos conocemos por aquí :)

¡Anda! pues no sabía yo que FLAC fuera un formato abierto. No me acostaré sin saber una cosa nueva. Por cierto, me ocurre lo mismo con la música, no tengo casi ni un OGG/FLAC y con los ebooks, yo también tengo un Kindle.
Yo tengo la mayoría de la música en FLAC. Es relativamente fácil encontrar, mucho más que en OGG. Con el Kindle tengo un dilema gordo: es buen aparato, Tiene una infraestructura genial (enviar los artículos de Instapaper por correo electrónico), pero... Amazon es el mal.
Lo malo del FLAC es que ocupa que da gusto xD para eso prefiero Ogg Vorvis, más de 160gb de música pasarla a FLAC... como que no cabe xD
Y sí, totalmente de acuerdo sobre lo de Amazon, me enteré poco después de comprarlo. Menuda puntería tengo.
Buah, si tienes una biblioteca tan grande normal que no te merezca la pena ni pensar en reemplazar todo eso xD Lo que yo hice fue descargar cosas en FLAC y dejarlas así directamente, o convertirlas en OGG. Pero nunca he llegado a tener tantísima música xD

So, Choqok now supports Twitter, Status.net and Pump.IO. And depending on the server, also Friendica. Perhaps support for Diaspora would be nice to see, too, unless they solely focus in microblog sites.>> Carlos Solís:

Pump.io is definitely not microblogging, so that's not the case.Diaspora's problem is the lack of API.
