I have also experienced some slow responses. But not all the time. I inferred that the slowdown was at the identi.ca end and possibly the network.

Time for a webfinger id it opens the login page, but when one pursues, confronts, and ultimately shoots a person who does this can claim that *he* was scared for *his* life and get to sleep.

There seems to be a problem with the password recovery on identi.ca. I'm trying to trace it down; I think it might have to do with firewalls and the remote mail server.
