No sé si será el mismo señor que vi en un documental (no recuerdo el título) que utilizó una técnica (que tampoco recuerdo) para atraer insectos (creo recordar que escarabajos) a una zona árida, que construyeron túneles en el subsuelo que retenían el agua y permitió que la vegetación volviese a crecer.

Dianara v1.3.6 is out =)

A new version of my Pump.io client, Dianara, is out!
It's a rather small release. Main changes are:
- HTTP redirections will be followed when loading images (Qt 5 only).
- Duration of popup notifications is now configurable, and notifications can be set to be persistent.
- Some input fields will show a button to clear them (Qt 5 only).
- Added Galician translation by @EVAnaRkISTO (thanks!).
As you can see, a couple of the changes will only be present if you build Dianara with Qt 5.x. You'll need a Qt5-built version of QOAuth for that. Mageia Cauldron (future Mageia 6), the Debian Experimental repository (and soon in Sid, directly) and Archlinux, among others, offer this already.
As for the future, I'll probably make a small-ish 1.3.7 release still supporting Qt 4, and then jump to a 1.4.0, supporting only Qt 5.x and dropping support for Qt 4.x. That would be around mid-2017, which I think makes sense ;)

Ubuntu backports are on hold as I'm trying to figure out if there is still a backports team left. Will advise as there have been too many people standing down lately.
By the way, I'm looking at tracker and not seeing anything in Experimental yet.

No, Debian has a qt5 version of qoauth in experimental, but not Dianara. There's ongoing work on this on the VCS though.

One thing though: I noticed you've removed the qca-ossl dependency. Any particular reason?
Maybe on Archlinux QOAuth itself depends on qca-ossl, but otherwise, that's a required dependency. It's not a build-time dependency, but it's required at runtime. Dianara won't run without it.
EDIT: nevermind, I see that the qca package (required by qoauth) itself, on Archlinux, already provides the openssl plugin =)

BTW, it should be possible to build this with Qt 5 now.
You could try it by replacing qmake-qt4 with just qmake, and depending on qoauth-git (also in the AUR). The QJSON dependency could then be dropped.

No es un secreto que el adblocking (el bloqueo de anuncios web) está perjudicando seriamente a algunos medios online de todo el mundo. Y en América del Norte el asunto empieza a llegar a los niveles más altos, porque la Newspaper Association of America (que podríamos comparar con la AEDE española) ha denunciado a algunos bloqueadores de anuncios a la Federal Trade Commission.
El argumento de la asociación, que reúne a más de 2.000 publicaciones publicaciones de Canadá y los Estados Unidos, es que la tecnología que utilizan esos bloqueadores "violan reglas de la FTC diseñadas para proteger a los consumidores de prácticas de comercio injustas y malintencionadas".
