“Dianara also authorized as well but, it gets "invalid oauth parameter" when attempting to upload. Will test things out more later. ;)”
Hmm.. I read in the docs:
“To upload media you should use the URI /api/user/username/uploads.
A POST request should be made to the media upload URI submitting at least two header:
- Content-Type - This being a valid mimetype for the media.
- Content-Length - size in bytes of the media.”
Dianara doesn't fill Content-Length, which seems to be mandatory here. But that doesn't seem related to the OAuth error. Hmm...

Do you use Git? Mercurial? Inkscape? Or any one of dozens of high profile free software projects? Chances are, you benefit heavily from Conservancy's work. (And hey, since Pump.IO uses git to do development, you indirectly benefit here!)
MediaGoblin's lead developer Chris Webber has also written a blogpost explaining why he donated, and why you should too!

Congrats to our Pitivi friends on making a 0.94 release and crossing the 50% mark on their campaign!
They also crossed 50% of their crowdfunding goal but could still use your help!

MediaGoblin weekly check-in meeting for Oct 3, 2014
<paroneayea> Tsyesika: I'm ready when you are.
<Tsyesika> okay I'm ready to
<Tsyesika> want me to go first?
<Tsyesika> okay so this week so far i've done:
<Tsyesika> - reviewed, tested and marged #942 including writing documentation
for webserver configuration
<Tsyesika> - Fixed #952 which forces the footer to the bottom of the page
<Tsyesika> - #919 which fixes a problem where super(self.__type__,
self).method_call() was being used which caused issues when
inheriting from said class
<Tsyesika> fixed #949 which introduces a page to allow users to revoke the
authorization given to an application
<Tsyesika> (which can be found under user settings if anyone is interested)
<Tsyesika> and I fixed a issue with the client registration endpoint where i
had typoed "logo_url" instead of "logo_uri"
<Tsyesika> today and tomorrow (i took thursday off) i plan to handle merging
activities and location branches
<Tsyesika> i'm done :)
<paroneayea> great! :)
<paroneayea> thanks for the update Tsyesika, that all sounds good
<paroneayea> so my week this week:
<paroneayea> - actually, the first thing I did this week was get in a
document related to me possibly getting paid to do contracting on
something free software related, so that was a distraction from
mediagoblin at the start of the week, but for good reason :)
<paroneayea> - I fixed dbupdate, which wasn't working
<paroneayea> - I merged a couple of berker's branches related tothings
<paroneayea> - I've been spending most of the week figuring out how to best
deal with stabilizing master after the py3 merge... that
<paroneayea> - our docs no longer are up to date for using gunicorn
<paroneayea> - the database situation is different between the two versions
<paroneayea> well that's mostly it really
<Tsyesika> :) awesome
<paroneayea> I'm trying to figure out how to make it nice again... I started
looking at restoring pyconfigure so some things could be set
conditionally depending on how things were configured
<paroneayea> eg, lazyserver.sh and paste.ini may be set up differently
<paroneayea> but I'm kind of learning pyconfigure as I go
<paroneayea> I'm still not sure if that's the route I should be going... I was
also working on setting a bunch of conditionals in lazyserver.sh
<paroneayea> but it was making the file turn into a big mess
<paroneayea> so I'm still exploring that... I hoped to have it done by now,
but it is what it is.
<paroneayea> that's it for me.
<paroneayea> I'm going to keep working on that, and exploring deployment stuff
in the moments in-between when I'm frustrated with all that ;)
<Tsyesika> cool :)
<paroneayea> okay! "that's all folks" :)
<paroneayea> oh, we have a meeting tomorrow, and I can *probably* run it, but
there's a minor chance I might miss it.
<paroneayea> but I'll probably be around.
<paroneayea> I'm gonna see if I can figure out how to post this to pump
without it breaking now ;)
<paroneayea> thanks for the update, Tsyesika !

Python 3 support merged into MediaGoblin master!
We're stoked to announce that Python 3 support has been merged into MediaGoblin master! This is based on the hard work of Berker Peksag who did this as part of Google Summer of Code this year. Thank you, Berker!
This is a big change, and though tests are passing, it's possible some things are broken, so if you're running a server where stability is key, you may want to stick to 0.7.1 for a bit. But if you're willing to be a bit daring, please help us out! (See also this email.)
This is a huge, necessary step to keep MediaGoblin going into the future. We're very excited it has happened!
Onward and upward!
MediaGoblin 0.7.1 released!
MediaGoblin 0.7.1 is released! This is a bugfix release. Users running postgresql are especially recommended to upgrade.
Happy goblin'ing, all!
