Here's another almost-monthly release of my Pump client.
The main new features are the page selector, which you can use to jump to any page in your timeline (you can go to your first-post-ever directly, for instance), and the (optional) snippets in the Meanwhile feed.
By default, snippets for the activities will be shown when the activity is highlighted, except if the activity is yours. This mostly means you’ll be able to see a part of a comment to one of your posts, or a comment matching one of your highlighting filters, for instance, directly on the side panel.
See the release blog post for a (mostly) complete changelog.
Cheers! o/

You're welcome! Glad you like it!
Yes, it might sound like an example number, but this release is 1.2.3 xD
The most notable new features are font configuration, the option to send direct messages to people from the avatar menus, and the button to open ‘parent’ posts. You'll see the 'Parent' button if a post in your timeline is actually a reply to something else. This can happen if someone shares a comment, for instance.

The new version 0.3 of the jabber client Conversations has been released. Now, I can say: It's the very best app for XMPP on Android devices.

Conversation do, if you talk by Pidgin (for example) with Conversations in your phone, it would sync all the messages, but not Pidgin. Anyway, sometimes Conversations doesn't sync all the messages, I do not why, but it's just occasionally (I mean, the bug). Sorry, I have not much idea about Carbon.
I think the best way to see what happens is to see by yourself, Conversations is not ready for the entire world, it has errors, but is in a good way to get it :)
Maybe Pidgin does not have XEP-028 implemented. The clients must to be this XEP implemented to work properly.
Which XMPP public server have XEP-028 working?
This was supposed to be another small release, but it took longer than expected. The main new feature is proxy support, but it also comes with a bunch of little fixes and improvements.
Other interesting changes include case insensitive filters, animated image support in the image viewer, a basic help window and a better initialization process, so Dianara will try to get your profile, contacts and timelines on startup several times, if it fails due to network or server errors.
Packagers should note that the manpage has been moved to section 1, as suggested in a bug report, which makes more sense.

P.S.- I should note that releasing at the same time as Impeller 0.9.5 was purely coincidental. You know, like they say at the end of most movies =)

Earlier today I was led to believe that there was a very weird bug in Dianara's post editor, but it turned out to be a problem with copy-pasting weird content from a very specific source. That led us to find a problem in Qt's rich text handling, but at least there's nothing wrong with Dianara xD
Thanks for this new dianara version!
Debian package has been uploaded to unstable: https://tracker.debian.org/news/561552
It will be available during next hours :-)

It's that time of the trimester again! Dianara 1.2.0 is out! =)
The main changes in this version are the possibility of editing (modifying) your comments, enhanced filters, which now apply to the timelines too, and can highlight activities in addition to hiding them, using some nice colors, the ability to search the contact lists, and the “avatar buttons” everywhere, with several options for the contact.
In addition, this version has also been built for msWindows by fellow pumper Luis GF.

The main highlights of this version are the enhancements in the Meanwhile feed (specially the “+” button to open referenced posts), the filters, and the fact that you can add and remove members from person lists now.
And fixes all over the place. Check the blog post, or the CHANGELOG file for a more detailed list.

I have similar feelings as the other commenters - it needs features "now". Some missing functionality compared to the old version is a normal thing for a short while, but this is taking way too long.
I'm willing to throw some money at pumpio to have it on par with all features that statusnet had. Especially #tags and !groups and @mentions (including simple formatting for #!@, not the html that we have now). How about a kickstarter or something?
@ntw0n, I'm not a Diaspora user, so I cannot tell. I found this blog post which makes some comparisons. About interconnections, for what I know, there is no ongoing work on Pump.io <-> Diaspora connection in the pump.io side (yet). No idea about the Diaspora side, but probably you need to ask there :)

“Is there an estimate on landing in Debian?”
Don't worry, Monica (Debian packager) has been quite fast about packaging updated versions in the past. She'll probably get it done in no time when she gets the chance.
And there's a lot of time until April :.p

“Lo intento instalar con el rpm pero tras intentarlo me responde:
Ningún paquete llamado dianara-0.9-7.mga4.i586”
Como lo intentas? Si has bajado el .rpm suelto, al hacerle click te deberia lanzar el "software installer".
Otra opcion es instalarlo con "rpm -i nombredelarchivo.rpm" desde la consola.

Dianara-dev now scales images in posts according to the available space, and will no longer enlarge the smaller images.
If you try it, let me know how it works for you. Specifically, if it feels slow while resizing the window. ;)

I can't see in Dianara the image in https://identi.ca/evanarkisto/note/lP-u5DN5TtihiyMe6BoZjA because Dianara gets 403 HTTP error code (Forbidden).
I can see the image in a browser without any problem (http://auditoriaciudadana.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/PACD_BANNER-WEB-00.jpg)
I need to investigate that. I thought maybe that server doesn't like requests without UserAgent, but Dianara sends a UA, so... no idea what the problem is ;)
